At Halo Nursery we aim for at least one hour of physical activity each day for our little Halo’s. We use a wide range of skills and physical activities to enable children to show good control and coordination in large and small movements making sure each of our little Halo’s is playing, learning and having fun.
At Halo Nursery we encourage our little Halo’s to engage in and talk about the things they enjoy. Group Leaders will provide activities that support "fine motor" development such as painting and exploring color and building with blocks. We offer all children the same opportunity to develop object-control skills which include catching, rolling and throwing.
At Halo Nursery we understand that our little Halo’s will love to be active; however, as they develop to be independent, we ensure they understand the importance of good health which includes physical exercise and a healthy diet. We make use of displays to show the range of foods to be eaten and to identify how different foods help growth and development. We also encourage our little Halo’s to feel proud of their achievements in health and self-care as well as supporting each child in their basic hygiene and personal needs successfully.
