We have part time and full-time positions as Nursery Practitioners for our newly built nursery in Haggerston. The nursery will cater for 2 – 4-year-old children. The fundamental objective is to provide high quality childcare suited to every child’s individual needs.

Holiday:

At Halo Nursery we reward hard work. Everyone works hard at Halo Nursery is offered 20 days annual leave per year, excluding bank holidays. The board of Directors also offer an additional two weeks paid leave for the last week of December and first week of January so that each member can enjoy the festive season without worrying about any leave. This leave cannot be taken with any other annual leave.

DSE Eye Tests:

At Halo Nursery we will pay for an eye test at any branch of opticians for those requiring a Display Screen Eye Test. If spectacles are required for DSE then Halo Nursery will contribute £45.00 (cost of basic spectacles). If you require any variation in the spectacles for DSE use, then the additional cost will be at your own expense.

Time For Support:

Compassionate leave is available to all Halo Employees. Halo Nursery provides up to five days paid time off for you to be with your family.

Hospitalisation:

Health and Wellness is an important part of your Wellbeing. Should you need to attend hospital as a day patient or be required to have an overnight stay Halo Nursery provides paid leave up to 2 days in addition to Company sick pay.

Company Sick Pay:

Should you be unable to attend work due to sickness, Company sick pay is available up to 7 full days dependant on length of service. After the 7 days sick pay is paid at SSP.

Pay Reviews:

At Halo Nursery we believe in rewarding our team members generously. We pay London Living Wage for hourly staff and full-time staff are on permanent salaried contract. The management team review pay levels for all roles every financial year.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or above) in childcare with a minimum of a years’ experience

  • Cleared DBS and on the Update Service

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good eye for detail, assist Room Leader, Deputy and Nursery Manager in ensuring all nursery policies are maintained and updated where appropriate

  • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of EYFS

  • Experience of carrying out observations and conducting two-year-old checks

  • Clear understanding of all relevant Safeguarding and Health and Safety Legislation

Deputy Manager

  • Location : Haggerston, Hackney

  • Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)
