Curriculum
At Halo Nursery, we prepare our little Halo’s for primary school through games and play following the Government's framework for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. Our overall aim is to provide a curriculum-rich environment to develop every area of a child's life; social, emotional, physical and academic. Our objective is to provide a curriculum that is designed to underpin and achieve our mission.

Literacy
At Halo Nursery, our literacy development involves encouraging our little Halo’s to link sounds and letters as well as beginning to read and write. All our little Halo’s have full access to a wide range of reading materials involving books, poems, and other printed materials to explore their interest.
Halo Nursery will take into consideration your child's needs, interest and their stage of development so that each Group Leader can plan a challenge for each of our little Halo’s so their learning is more enjoyable and are developing each day. Where a child may have a particular educational need or disability which requires specialist support, we will assist the child’s parents and carers to ensure they have access to the relevant or appropriate services.
For children whose home language is not English, Halo Nursery will take reasonable steps to provide opportunities for your child to develop and use their home language in playing, learning and having fun in developing their language at home.
